In 1955 the Capiau family started the gathering of metals. During the years the firm specialised in the demolition of ships and buildings.
In 1980, father and son Capiau started a small yard in Willebroek.
In 1992 the son and present Managing Director Wim Capiau took charge and started a new yard in Lokeren.
In 2002 the company name was changed to Capiau Recycling and specialised in non ferro metals like aluminium, copper and zinc.
Today, Capiau Recycling is a well known name in the Belgian recycling bussiness and known for it’s revolutionairy aluminum recycling.
The newst expand of the company results in a new building where we proces aluminum and other metals as efficient as possible, considering the circular economy.
